BADRAMA FOREST ENTRY POINT
The Badrama Wildlife Sanctuary is located in Yavatmal in Orissa. Declared a Sanctuary in 1987, the dense deciduous forests are bordered by Penganga River and Wardha River. The Sanctuary spreads across 130 square km making it one of the smallest in Oriss. The Sanctuary is home to Tigers, Panthers, Leopards, Sloth Bears, Sambhars, Chitals, Nilgais, Gaurs and Elephants. There are about 35 elephants and 15 tigers living in the Sanctuary. The flora of the sanctuary includes Sal, Arjun, Sandalwood, Acacia, Neem and Casuarinas. Watch towers have been installed to provide a good view of the forest and its wildlife. Jeep safaris along with trained guides can be arranged by the Forest authorities. Accommodation is available at the Forest Rest House at Badrama which is 3 kms from the Sanctuary. A permit card is issued by the Forest Range Officer at Badrama to enter the Sanctuary
