A landmark that no longer exists. This tavern hung everything they could get their hands on from the ceiling and walls. Prince Charles wanted to visit the tavern once but was advised against it due to the risk of injury should something fall. It was the home of the mystery sandwich. It remained in this location for nearly 60 years. This is where the working class went to rehydrate after working their shift in the steel mill, US Steel's Homestead Works. Joe Chiodo retired in the spring of 2005 and sold the property. A Walgreen's Drug Store is now at this location. For more go to the Post Gazette link below.
