Bordering Umbria, Chiusi Scalo is a strategic junction between Milan, Florence and Rome and a very accessible shopping centre. Having grown up spontaneously over the last century around the railway station, the settlement offers a compact shopping area with completely renovated street furniture, wide sidewalks and extensive street lighting. Two annual fairs (on the first Sunday in December and June 2nd), entertainment and folkloric events - with the ‘Ruzzi della Conca’ between the end of the August and the beginning of September – periodically enliven a centre dedicated to shopping where ancient crafts still thrive. In fact next to modern shops selling phones or clothes, Chiusi Scalo is still home to blacksmiths, restorers, upholsterers, carpenters, barbers, tailors and cobblers. A lively and authentic centre offering modernity alongside tradition.
