Chubby Checker, the singer made famous by "The Twist" in 1960, lived
(and still lives?) in this house with his family, starting sometime in the 1970s. In past years,
his tour bus was frequently visible parked along the perimiter of the property.
The structure is unusual. The older, original two story house is built of field stone probably circa 1750. The later large attached addition is built of steel girder framing and large plate glass windows added around 1972. The street address is near 1580 Swedesford Road, Malvern, PA 19355
