Tortoise Island is a narrow gated community that features Mcmansions. The other one was the adjoining Lansing Island. Tortoise Island has many mcmansions because of the waterfront views on all mcmansions. The residents of Merritt Island that are across to it can see the luxurious mcmansions. Tortose Island is just a few minutes away from the beach, accessed by Patrick Drive through Pelican Coast.
