The smallest of the three Southwest English moorlands. Bodmin is known for its ponys (as are the larger two, Dartmoor in Devon and Exmoor in Somerset) and as the location of a number of sites associated with the Arthurian legends, including Dozmary Pool, where according to some versions of the legends King Arthur received Excalibur from the Lady of the Lake, and where it was returned to her after Arthur's death.
