Noble Judah was a prominent Chicago lawyer and a member of the Illinois State House of Representatives from 1911-12. He was also a soldier during WWI, a bank director and the U.S. Ambassador to Cuba from 1927-29. Noble Judah's estarw was designed by architect Philip L. Goodwin and built between 1925 and 1928.

The 25-room, 13,000-square-foot home has six bedrooms, nine full and two half bathrooms, eight fireplaces, pecan wood paneling, Parquet de Versaille floors, two kitchens, a library, a second-floor game room and an indoor pool. Its entry gate was fabricated by Samuel Yellin who is considered to be the finest metalworker in American history.

The French Norman Style mansion is sprawled across 3.14 acres and includes a spectacular 17th century landscape design, a beautiful, French-cobbled walled entry courtyard and a grass tennis court.
