  • An interesting mistaken name for the whale. The case is, that it comes from the Russian "beluKHa" - meaning "white (whale)"; whereas "beluGa" is also a Russian word, but... it's a name of one of the fishes from the sturgeons family! Yet, the "beluga whale" settled in English.
  • This isn't the Beluga tank actually, the Beluga's are to the left of here, this is a behind the scenes tank. I love this aquarium, I have been to Vancouver twice and both times I have visited, once when Qila was pregnant, and again in Novemeber to see her new baby Tiqa.
