The building was the target location of Operation Gothic Serpent, the sixth operation, by TASK FORCE Ranger which is compressed of a Joint Special Operations Unit of 1st SFOD-Delta, SEAL TEAM SIX, USAF Special Tactics Squadron, and Bravo Company,3rd Ranger Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment.
