This courtyard is an attempt to have the German army before the heavy shore batteries of 210 mm caliber. The battery has not been completed by the beginning of the liberation of Sevastopol in May 1944 did not provide any resistance due to the lack of guns. Total 3 yard was built by the Germans during the 1943 1944godov, two of which are under the DHW buildings nearby part of the Defense Ministry.
