A village and civil parish south of Newport, Isle of Wight, whose largest neighbourhood is Chillerton. Four tiny hilly hamlets are to the south, Upper Rill, Lower Rill, Roslin and Cridmore. Also here is Chillerton Down the site of an unfinished Iron Age promontory fort and a 229-metre (751 ft) antenna for the Isle of Wight radio station broadcasting on 107.00 MHz, as well as several other stations, the village's most prominent feature and can be seen from most of the island. Chillerton Down is flown by Paragliders in a E to SE wind and on days with good thermals the top of the mast can be reached. The church dated before 1292 is noted for its stained glass by William Morris dating from 1865 and 1866.
