Timrå Church was founded during the medieval period. The southern and eastern walls are believed to come from the old church. However, the present building is in essentially eighteenth century style, and was completede in 1794. Of interest to the visitor will be the ancient grave field that lies by the church; here there are fifteen identified graves dating back to the sixth century, marking this as a sacred spot in pagan times.
