The Castle of Fasiledes (Gonder)

The oldest and the most imposing of the 17th century structures found in Gonder is the castle of Emperor Fasiledes. Built of basalt stones and mortar, the multistory castle remained a dominating structures of the entire multitude of buildings inside this historic imperial compound.
