baseball stadium, historical layer / disappeared object

Lane Field Stadium was home of the San Diego Padres of the Pacific Coast League (PCL) from 1936-1957.

The site served as a parking lot for cruise ships for years until a new hotel development was constructed in the 2010s. The site is now home to Residence Inn/SpringHill Suites and an InterContinental hotel which is under construction. Lane Field Park is on the western portion of the site. The park has a plaque memorializing the defunct baseball field, and has a pitchers mound and home plate located on the approximate location of the former baseball diamond.
