  I was informed by Quitman's City Hall that no records of burials and land deeds to the cemetery was recorded before 1978. Anybody buried before 1960 was not buried in a vault. I was trying to locate the grave of my great great grendmother who is buried out there with her name being on the slab. I was told by an historian that old graves especially the ones without a vault would be sunken into the ground.
