USA / Illinois / Chicago / Chicago, Illinois / North Orleans Street, 350
 hotel, office building, landmark, high-rise

This is 350 West Mart Center, also named the Apparel Center. Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, it was built from January to November of 1976 as a compliment to the neighbouring Merchandise Mart. Its grand opening was in January 1977. The 23-storey building has a height of 324 ft (99 m) and a floor area of 2,000,000 sq ft (190,000 sq m). A pedestrian bridge, designed by Helmut Jahn, was built in 1988 to connect the building to the Merchandise Mart. The lower section consists primarily of merchandise showrooms. The concrete walls in the lower part have been replaced by windows since the late 1990s. In 2004, the Sun-Times newspaper moved its offices into the building, when its former headquarters building was sold to make way for the Trump Tower. Also occupying the building are some classrooms of the Art Institute of Illinois. AT&T also occupied the 3rd and 4th floors of this building, which are used for marketing and as a training center.

The Holiday Inn Chicago Mart Plaza occupies the top 10 floors of the Apparel Center. Built around an atrium to the east and a light court to the west, it has 521 rooms, an indoor swimming pool, a fitness centre, a business centre, a restaurant, a bar, two ballrooms, and 14 meeting rooms.
