Monterosso Calabro

The village of Monterosso Calabro is wrapped around a steep hill topped with a tower of ancient origins. This tower (with possibly Byzantine foundation) was used as a watch-tower during the time of the Norman occupation of Calabria. In recent times it has been used as a clock-tower. Monterosso also has a folkloric museum of international importance.
