Castle Karlova Koruna (The Charles Crown) was built as a representative summer residence of Franz Ferdinand Count Kinsky, high chancellor and the highest hunter of Kingdom of Bohemia in 1721-1723. Plans to castle building were handled by one of the most important Baroque builders of Italian origin, Giovanni Santini Aichel. Proper construction works on the castle were managed by architect Franz Maximilian Kanka.
