ruins, archaeological site, monastery
Restenneth Priory was a monastic house of Augustinian canons founded by Jedburgh Abbey in 1153.
All except the tower is now in ruins. It has been proposed that the Augustinian house is located on the site of an earlier, 8th-century monastery founded by the Pictish king Nechtan mac Derilei.
