  • Wicopesset Rock, just east of WI is often said to be the very end of Long Island. This, measured as a volumetric raster distance from Riverhead proper, and Zeeks Pond beyond it (B.C.C. Et. Al.) counting the body of Zeeks Pond proper as part of the raster distance, from the lee shore of Zeeks Pond. This area is well known for very robust Eel Grass populations and is an ideal location to snorkel or kayak. Please do not land here and try at all times to reduce your impact on the environment because it is very valuable and fragile.
