Rio Rancho is a city in Sandoval and Bernalillo Counties in the U.S. state of New Mexico. The population was 87,521 at the 2010 census.

Rio Rancho is Albuquerque's largest suburb, the fastest growing city in New Mexico, among the fastest growing cities in the USA, now the third largest City in New Mexico after Albuquerque and Las Cruces, having passed Santa Fe in population sometime in 2004 or 2005.

  • I would put Rio Rancho as one of the best places to live in this country. They haven't been hit as hard as the rest of the country. I like it here, I like the Balloons that fly almost every morning, I like that the winters are mild, warm but not too hot summers, and the mountain views are incredible and contantly changing. The people are nice and most seem to be in good spirits. There is something special about the city and business, they are community minded.
