'Mill Road Cemetery is a large and peaceful garden cemetery hidden between Mill Road, Norfolk Street and Gwydir Street. It is listed by English Heritage in the Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest as a grade II site.' Consecrated 1848, closed 1949.

My friend, Susan Richardson's family were caretakers of this site in the 1950's. I would walk home from school with her and go into the cemetery through the Norfolk St. entrance. We would pick dog daisies and place them on graves with no flowers. Her house was at the Mill Rd entrance of the cemetery, a grey flintstone building as I recall. I've often tried to find Susan but have had no luck.
