The Thomas & Mack Center is an indoor arena located on the campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in Paradise, Nevada, USA. The facility in named after E. Parry Thomas and Jerome Mack and was opened in the summer of 1983. The arena's primary tenant is the UNLV Runnin' Rebels men's basketball team. It also hosts the National Finals Rodeo annually. Since 1999, it also hosts the PBR World Finals. The Thomas & Mack Center also served as the home of the Las Vegas Thunder of the International Hockey League from 1993-1998, the Las Vegas Flash of RHI in 1994, the Las Vegas Dustdevils of the CISL in 1995, the Las Vegas Sting of the AFL in 1995, and the Las Vegas Gladiators of the AFL from 2003-2006.
In 2005 and 2006, the Thomas & Mack Center hosted the AFL's ArenaBowl. It also hosted the 2007 NBA All-Star Game, marking the first time that a city without an NBA team has hosted the game and the first on-campus college sports arena has hosted the game. The arena has also hosted several men'scollege basketball tournaments, including the 1994 and 1995 tournaments of the Big West Conference, the 1997, 1998, and 1999 tournaments of the Western Athletic Conference, and the 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013 tournaments of the Mountain West Conference. The 2007 FIBA Americas Championship was held at the Thomas & Mack Center from August 22 to September 2, 2007.
In 2001, a smaller arena, Cox Pavilion, was built to the southeast side of the Thomas & Mack Center.
