Saxapahaw is an old mill town situated right on the Haw River that runs through Alamance County. Perhaps the feature that stands out most is the converted mill apartments sitting along the river. Part of the old mill is home to the Saxapahaw General Store as well as other small shops. Much of Saxapahaw is owned by the Jordan family. John Jordan is the son of Senator B. Everett Jordan, whom Elementary school just down the street is named after. Jordan properties owns and rents out several homes in the area. The town is home to Cub Scout Pack 65 and Boy Scout Troop 65.
