This is considered as the largest subdivision in Tacloban City, Leyte, Philippines. It has typical one-storey housing units expect for some already owned and paid-for units that have been renovated into large 2 or 3-storey houses, usually taking up the whole lot area. The subdivision, with its poorly implemented planning and design, experience problems almost on a regular basis. The number one problem is the intermittent flooding caused by heavy rains. Every Leyteno would know that the region is part of the typhoon belt since it faces the Pacific Ocean. The flood water, after an hour of heavy rain, finds their way inside residential houses, sometimes making a large area of the subdivision unliveable as well as unhygienic. This is furhter exacerbated by the development of an adjacent subdivision, Villa Dolina, which was developed on higher elevation to drain their rainwater into V&G. This has been going on since as long as I can remember and nobody seems to be doing anything about it.

The city govt. officials a have been forgetting that the owners of these Housing units are paying real estate taxes. To those who are against psoint negative comments.. • I love Tacloban. Since I'm based in Manila, I often ask my friends for an update on the developments of the place. Ang ganda na raw ng Tacloban !! It has improved a lot with the City Administration of the Romualdez's and of course with the Petilla's (for the Province). I pray that both government administrators will continue in their collaboration to improve our place. Thank you, Alfred and Kring-Kring Romualdez and the Mother and Son tandem of the Petilla's. Ganyan, magtulungan tayo! I look forward for my next visit in october. Kita tayo, ha?
  • I know Yes to HUC (Highly Urbanized City), but the Mayor does not clean our Canals, we just do it. If it was Highly Urbanized then they start at the biggest Subdivision here V & G. If they don't start at our Subdivision, then we say NO!
