In 1959, Alfred Campanelli began construction of the first large residential subdivision in the Village, known as Weathersfield. Weathersfield is the largest subdivision in Schaumburg and now contains several thousand single-family homes built in 22 stages over two decades.

The original Weathersfield homes built in the 1960´s are ranch, split-level and raised ranch homes.

The second generation of Weathersfield homes, called Weathersfield West, were build in the 1970´s and are located west of Walnut Road. These are a mix of larger ranch, split-level and 2-story homes.

Many of the original Weathersfield homes are now a prime targets of tear-down construction introducing new luxury homes. These 2-story luxury homes feature four to five bedrooms, high-end amenities and two or three car garages.
