Built in 1956-57, this 13-story building housed offices for Bell Telephone Company and, later, its offshoot Bell Atlantic (now Verizon). Verizon is expected to move out when its lease expires in January of 2011. The building would be largely empty by then, and has been mentioned as a candidate for residential conversion. It is now a charter school.
