Stargard (Polish: Stargard, 1950-2015 Stargard Szczeciński; Kashubian/Pomeranian: Stôrgard, German: Stargard in Pommern) is a town in Pomerania, northwestern Poland, with 71 017 inhabitants (2005). Situated on the Ina river, it is the capital of Stargard County in West Pomeranian Voivodeship (since 1999); previously it was in Szczecin Voivodeship (1975-1998).
