R.K. Sree Rangammal Kalvi Nilayam is one of the oldest schools in coimbatore .It was established in 1953 by the First Finance Minister of Independent India Dr.R.K.Shanmugam Chettiyar. This school is famous for the cricket .

The school was actually famous for BasketBall before it became famous for Cricket. Though a small school, it attracted some great students in its heydays.
