The Spiritan Center is a retreat ministry of the Congregation of the Holy Spirit, also known as the Congregation of the Holy Spirit under the Protection of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. They are a Roman Catholic congregation of priests, lay brothers and lay associates. Congregation members are known as Spiritans in Continental Europe, and as the Holy Ghost Fathers in English-speaking countries, although even there, they are becoming known as Spiritans.

The Spiritans founded Duquesne University in 1878 as the "Pittsburgh Catholic College of the Holy Ghost."
