Tagert Hut is named in honor of Bill Tagert, one of the early skiers in the area. The original Tagert Hut was a dam tender's cabin built on approximately the same spot, and used by early skiers. It burned and was replaced with the existing structure.

Hut Elevation: 11,250 feet

Layout and capacity: All Braun huts have propane burners for cooking, photovoltaic lighting, mattresses and pillows, eating and cooking utensils, toilet paper, matches, and cleaning supplies. Hut users melt snow for water. Both huts are one level. Tagert sleeps 7 people (1 double, 5 singles - singles can be combined to make doubles). Note: there is a minimum booking number of 4 spaces for reservations at the hut. Reserving Tagert and Green Wilson huts together requires a minimum of 8 spaces. NO DOGS!
