This European Space Research Organization (ESRO) satellite tracking and telemetry station was part of the four-station ESTRACK signal data receiving system from its construction in the 1970's. Though to be a military communications installation by Argentinean forces after their invasion in 1982, the facility was destroyed and not rebuilt.
