Liberty Cap (summit)

Liberty Cap is a granite dome in Yosemite National Park just north of Nevada Fall on the John Muir Trail. It rises 956 feet from the base of Nevada Fall to a peak elevation of 7076 feet (2157 meters).
(A smaller, mesa-like dome called Mount Broderick stands immediately west of Liberty Cap.)

  • There is no trail to the top, but it's a fairly easy scramble up from Lost Lake. I'd definitely recommend it to escape the summer crowds on the Mist Trail
