Substation along the former PRR Port Road branch now run by Norfolk Southern. Converted 138kV 25hz transmission power to 12kV traction power for the overhead catenary. Fed by two 138kV circuits spurring off from the four circuits running overland between Safe Harbor and Perryville, MD.

Substation was abandoned after Conrail ended its electric freight operations in 1981 and later (mostly) scrapped.
