  • Of the 6 Government Engineering Colleges in Tamil Nadu, TPGIT is the least developed college. It is yet (2007 Jan) to get its own campus even after so many years. It has the dubious distinction of being the only college whcih was put as "No Admissions" in 1999 by the AICTE. The only redeeming feature of this college is its good faculty strength. Needless to say it is the government's indifference is the cause of the poor development of this college.
  • More then the policy they follow the lecturer are very good and that one canditate can nourish
  • now the college has improved a lot with the use a TEQIP fund. i bet that no college in vellore will have a digital library like the one in our college. Now every department has separate blocks and the labs are well equipped with recents equipments. The lecturers here are also well experienced and it's a great pleasure doing Engineering at this college.
  • THANTHAI PERIYAR GOVERNMENT INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, Vellore is one of the six Government Engineering Colleges in Tamil Nadu and was started in 1990. The College offers UG Programmes in Civil Engg., Electronics & Communication Engg., Mechanical Engg,, PG Programmes in Applied Electronics, Manufacturing Engineering and MCA. Our college has been accredited by National Board of Accreditation during July 2006. Being a Government institution under the Directorate of Technical Education, students are admitted through single window system and are meritorious.
  • Its shame for TPGIT staffs and also concerned govt staffs, for getting salary alone and not maintaining even a official website for this college. Where in case other private colleges have many, and also i condemn the govt for maintaining a poor infrastructure.
  • Infrastucture is really good at this college. For certain reasons, the official website is down.
  • Thank u
