Lumsden is a town of 1,523 people (2006 census) located in the heart of the Qu'Appelle Valley, 30 km northwest of Regina on Highway 11. Many residents commute to work in Regina. The town is recognized nationally by Harrowsmith magazine in 2003 as the "prettiest" town in Saskatchewan.
