  Mulanthuruthy is a place about two and a half kilometers south of chottanikara temple. Ernakulam-thalayolaparambu, kottayam (private bus), piravom etc. are plying via mulanthuruthy. It is a small township with all amenities. There is a big church in this place. Govt. High School is situated near that church. Branches of nearly all important banks are available. Govt. hospital, panchayat office, registrar office etc. are also situated here.
