"Lake Tomahawk, established in 1966, is a private community located approximately 45 minutes from Pittsburgh International Airport and 2.5 miles south of Rogers, Ohio.
The 150 acre lake is surrounded by an additional 630 acres of residential homes and scenic property.
It is a man-made, spring-fed lake, home to a variety of fish such as walleye, bass, perch, crappie and catfish.
There is a 750 foot beach with a picnic pavilion, a well equipped children’s playground as well as lighted tennis and basketball courts.
There are 6 docking areas with a total of 26 slips and a marina with a boat launching ramp and gasoline pump.
The marina itself has a wide variety of hot and cold foods, snacks and beverages."
"Fun facts about Lake Tomahawk:
The location of where the pavilion now stands was once the scene of a very active moonshine business. It was reported that the man who originally owned the land was caught when the pigs he fed the mash to got drunk and raided the neighbor’s cornfield. The sheriff’s department was called and the rest is history.
There use to be a teepee in place of the Lake Tomahawk sign.
Fireworks became a part of the 4th of July program in 1969."
