This restaurant, an off-shoot of the Manhatten restaurant Cafe Habana, strives to be eco-friendly. It occupies the ground floor of a three story building with four apartments above it. It's main power source is a bank of solar panels above and behind the patio area. It uses collected rainwater for the toilets. Its' interior has wheat-board panelling. It has a recycling and compost station. It has a blender powered by a bicycle. It offers weekend workshops and tours for children. It employs local youths.
At night, and especially on weekends, it sometimes gets rowdy which irritates neighbors. It is only open from Earth Day through Halloween.
