When the FedEx building was originally built as a Purolator Courier sort facility, requests to move the cemetery were denied. Oldest burial dates back to 1818. In 2018, Indianapolis International Airport was finally granted permission to move the cemetery. About $2.5 million was spent moving 400 graves.
