The Chatterjee Group (TCG) is developing this
Bio-Tech park. A host of projects are at various
stages of execution at the Kinfra Hitech Park,
Kalamasserry. These include a biotech park, an
international exhibition and trade centre, a gem
and jewellery park and an electronics
(hardware) industries unit. TCG Biotech park was
notified as SEZ in May 2009 and has become the
first privately operated SEZ in Kerala. It has
6.2 million sq ft of built up area, 70% of which
will be occupied by Biotech companies and the rest
will be support facilities like residences, shopping
and entertainment facilities.
