Corkball is a game somewhat like baseball that was invented in St. Louis, Missouri sometime around 1900. The equipment used in the original game was a ball carved from a beer keg stopper made of cork and a broom handle. Brewery workers allegedly invented the game. Rules of play are based on the field of play which can include indoor and outdoor cages, alleyways, and fields of varying sizes.
