 office building  Add category

Designed by noted Buffalo Architects Milton E. Beebe and Son and constructed between 1894-96, the Brisbane Building was designed to serve as a combination commercial/office building, with its first two floors offering retail space and its upper five floors dedicated to office space.

Fronting Lafayette Square and flanked by Main and Washington Streets, the desirable location became the home to Klienhans Mens Store which occupied the entire basement, second floor and half the first floor, while Faxon, Williams, & Faxon Grocers and S. H. Knox's Five and Ten Cent Store rounded out the first street-level tenants of the building. Today the building has been thoroughly modernized and is now home to numerous commercial tenants.
