US Coast Guard Station Miami is a large-scale Coast Guard facility and is the home to the headquarters of the US Coast Guard's 7th District, US Coast Guard Sector Miami, Aids to Navigation Team Miami and several homeported Cutters and Small Boat Units.

USCG Sector Miami is responsible for all Coast Guard assets and missions extending from Malabar to the southern end of Caesar’s Creek and extending seaward approximately 30 miles. Inland, the Sector is also responsible for all of Lake Okeechobee. USCG Station Miami is also home to the Captain of the Port for Miami and nearby Port of Fort Lauderdale.
