There is a green-domed octagonal bell tower with two open tiers for bells is placed above the Gate Church of the Intercession. Once again the small church serves as the abbot's private chapel and now has an unusual ceramic iconostasis, cross and other ceramic decorations made by G. V. Kuprianov.

The Gate dates from the 1680s and the church itself was erected in 1691 while the belltower above it was not finished until 1694. With the fires of 1812, the church was destroyed and not rebuilt until 1865. Then it was closed by the Soviet government in 1927. The ceramics were added in the 1990s when the church was reconsecrated.
