Dupadu (village code-15) belongs to Tripuranthakam mandal (Mdl code-3) of Prakasam Dt, AP.
Dupadu is a prehistoric city with history dating back to Famous Krishna Devaraayalu period. The place is called "Dupadu Seema" with surrounding places. It has a soil fort which was used to store armory and hidden treasure. The famous ChandraMouliswara Swamy temple is well known around this place. The Archeological Excavations revealed Buddhism Stupa and Material near to this historic place. Chandavaram is 3 miles form this place and well connected with public transport system. Also one buddhism excavation site exists next to this place( Near Right Canal, 1.2 Miles). Andhra Pradesh Archeology department has collected some gold lotus flowers along with pottery and sacred bones of monks lived here in the past excavations. People believe that the cave form this place leads to Chandavaram. This place also features famous Abhayanjenaya Temple and Sri Rama Temple.
