Patio Legal facilitates the recovery of stolen vehicles and stolen

The Legal Courtyard opened in July 2005 as a result of Agreement between the Union of Insurers of Rio, the FENASEG, the Bureau of Security and the DMV.

The goal of the Courtyard Legal is hosting the stolen vehicles or stolen, recovered by police in the Metropolitan Region of Rio de Janeiro, offering services to citizens with more comfort, technology and speed, regardless of the vehicle is insured or not. Previously these vehicles, most of them were parked on the sidewalk near the police stations that were being choked, which hampered the location of vehicles by their owners.

Once notified by the Police Legal Patio recovery of the vehicle, burglary, theft or any other illegal, a trailer is sent to where it is photographed, sealed in openings such as doors, trunk, hood and fuel input to guarantee the inviolability, and its own state described in report. After signing the report, along with the trailer, the officer is exempted and the vehicle driven to the Patio, where is expertise, photographed, sealed and made the record of the event by local extension of the Bureau of robberies and thefts from cars (DRFA).

Once the collection of the vehicle, the Courtyard dispatches filed notice to the owner, stating the procedure for removal of the vehicle.

The vehicle owner may withdraw it in three days without paying a fee to stay, not even the cost of towing. In the process of delivery of the vehicle is made a new survey of her condition, for comparison with the award received.
