Prairie Shores Apartments at 2801, 2851, 2901, 2951 & 3001 S. King Drive, Chicago consist of five apartment towers arranged from north to south in a landscaped area near Lake Michigan.
The apartment towers are identical except for the colored spandrel panels underneath the windows.
The project was developed by executives of Michael Reese Hospital to provide middle-class housing near the hospital. A small arcaded shopping center is located between the apartments and the hospital.
