PDA Engineering College Gulbarga was established in the year 1958 and the first batch of students graduated in the year 1961. It was affiliated with Karnatak University of Dharwar. This college is now over 50 years old. The first college building was inaguarated by Dr. Radhakrishnan, vice president of India in 1959. The first year of the college was conducted in the barracks of the Gulbarga jail.
