Its one of the oldest engineering institution in india. Situated in sangli, vishrambag. The Founder of this college was Late Dhondo Mama Sathe.
In 1947, college made a modest beginning with Civil Engineering undergraduate course. (B.E. Civil), with an intake capacity of 60. Subsequently undergraduate courses in electrical and mechanical engineering, B.E.(Elec) and B.E.(Mech), with intake capacity of 60 each were introduced during the years 1950 and 1951 respectively.In those days it was named as College of Engineering, Sangli
This college undergone finacial problems & hence closed down in first few years of operation. Later with help of Shri Patvardhan ( King of Sangli) & Shri Walchand this institution was again re-discovered during 1957. It was connected to Pune unversity
This institution has produced excellant engineers working arround the globe for last 50 years.
